Camden County Council of Community and Youth Development’s purpose is to introduce, create and facilitate programs that provide “at risk”, disadvantaged communities; education, training, mentoring and support to become self sufficient, goal oriented, and create opportunities to advance the economic, social and personal welfare of families, their children, and their communities.
This will be accomplished through setting up youth athletics to provide guidance, education, and a safe environment: Creating educational seminars to provide guidance on health and safety for the community, children, and individuals. Providing support and tutoring for students to insure high school graduation and adults to obtain a GED.

About us
Our first mission will be to set up a youth wrestling program in the City of Camden NJ. This sport will be open to all children 4-14, male and female. We will look for individual donations to reach our estimated budget to provide this to the children completely free of charge. Donation will be used for equipment, competition, insurance, travel, etc. We believe that this program will first provide a safe environment in the city for the children, it will foster the ability to practice goal setting, and it will promote health and safety. The founding members have a rich back ground of coaching and mentoring and will organize the program.
We hope that eventually we will begin a program to provide tutoring to children who are struggling in the Camden school district. We again would secure a place that would be safe for the children and promote learning.
In addition we would like to set up a program that would help adults though tutoring services, providing help on subjects from GED test, to civic test, to driving test. We believe this will help individuals with more job opportunities.
We wish to organize educational events and community awareness. Events in the community would range from dietary and health education to Home and Community safety.
Our goal is bring any program to the Camden City area that we feel will provide a community service and help promote a positive direction in the lives of the residents. However our goal is to firmly establish one program at a time and record success in that program prior to embracing additional programs. This will ensure that any impact a program has will be fully realized and sustained.
